Welcome to Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center.   We have not been to this resort for several years, and it has recently been renovated.  Fall is a pretty time of year for our state parks and I'm sure the 2026 year will be just as beautiful.

 This packet contains this letter,  and class schedule.  We have been very fortunate to engage not only Marc Dombrowski, EA who has always been a very popular speaker but also 4 very educated, talented members of OSSEA who will provide us with outstanding education on a number of topics.  We are lucky to have so many qualified individuals that are anxious to spend some time with us in September.  We have a great lineup of topics as you can see on the convention schedule.   

The meeting space and rooms are very nice, recently updated.  There are sufficient rooms and several cabins in our block.  You can visit their website to see the layout and where the rooms are located.  The cabins are a short distance from the lodge.

Those that need handicapped rooms need to request it when you reserve the room.  The pool is large and there is a hot tub that looks very inviting. The lodge also contains several areas for gathering and fellowship. There are steps and an elevator between the room and the meeting space.  If you have any issues booking your room, please let me know.  A restaurant is also very close by for any extra meals when not dining with the group.  The food is very good,  Dale and I were lucky to have lunch on my last site visit.

Please complete all registrations and payments on the website.  That assures us that you are on the email list for future information including the link to the convention workbook.  Please call Pam at 614-390-3234 if you need assistance.  She is happy to help, so we do not have any mix ups. It only takes her a few minutes to complete the registration for you.  Have the credit card ready and she will input.  Please remember that when you register you not only receive 17 hrs of education, but every meal during the event.OSSEA hopes that you will be attending the 2026 conference.  There is no greater education than outstanding speakers and your fellow EAs that can offer valuable networking and friendship.  We always build in time for some fun and stress free relaxation.   We want to make sure that everyone has renewed their membership through the link on the website, or your membership will be dropped. We don't want that to happen, but after numerous emails regarding the separation from NAEA, some have not renewed at the new rate for OSSEA only.  The membership rate for registration only applies to those in good standing.

Please read closely

A week to 10 days before the start of the convention, an email will be sent and a link will be added to the website for your education materials.  Some attendees will download and follow on their device of choice. Others can either print or copy on a flash drive and take to a commercial printer.  This needs to be completed before you arrive on Sunday.  If you need help please let Pam or myself know. 

We look forward to seeing each one of you for great education, networking, fun, fellowship with the other members and guests. We will also conduct our annual meeting, which is required in our by-laws as part of the agenda.   Please remember to let Kay or Pam know if you have any issues.  Usually between us, we are able to work through any situation.
